Cold cutting

Wet cold cutting of metals and refractories, using jets of pressurised water mixed with abrasive particles

This system is highly effective on a wide range of steels, alloys and refractory materials; cutting quality is high compared with more traditional technologies and allows for straight or angled cuts.

The wet cutting operations – advancing, stopping, reversing and speed control of the nozzle holder side shifter – can be carried out remotely with hydraulic controls, thereby ensuring high levels of safety for the operators. The system is highly flexible and enables all kinds of cuts to be made – linear, circular or circumferential – with various ways of fixing the chains or slide tracks by using magnetic or mechanical attachments or vacuum pads.
